I've been getting a lot of requests for music stuff so I'm going to keep this post going for as longs as I can and update it when I come across something that I think is somewhat worthwhile.

Please understand that I'm a music snob, so don't take offense that I don't like a lot of metal stuff...I don't like Amon Amarth because they have beards! Anyway, some of these may be repeats.

__________

All time heavy albums

What I call "heavy" may be different than your definition - which is probably wrong. But, here are some of the heaviest albums of all time. This will be constantly updated as I remember them. Black Sabbath is not included (the Ozzy years) as they’re too awesome to be on this list.

1. Buried at Sea - Migration
2. Sleep - Jerusalem
3. Electric Wizard - Dopethrone
4. Iron Monkey - S/T
5. Sour Vein - Emerald Vulture EP
6. Floor - S/T
7. Indian - Slights and Abuse/The Sycophant
8. Eyehategod - everything they've ever done

Neurosis - This is absolutely crushing (Guess which one is a school teacher!)

______________

Cattlepress - Crowskin. This band was amazing, but is now gone. Too bad. See if you can get the CD, Hordes to Abolish the Divine.
_______________

Isis - Celestial (The Tower) live. I had the opportunity to see them live during this tour and they were BY FAR the heaviest band I've ever seen live. They’ve since moved on from this “evolution” stage, but this song was like getting hit by a tidal wave of hate.

Alice in Chains - Layne Staley has some great lyrics in this one - and a great vocalist. Lyrics are below.
Lyrics:
You insult me in my home
You're forgiven this time
Things go well, your eyes dilate
You shake, and I'm high?
Look in my eyes deep and watch
The clouds change with time
20 hours won't print
My picture milk carton size
Carton size
Carton size

Call me up congratulations
Ain't the real why
There's no pressure besides brilliance
Let's say by day 9
Endless corporate ignorance lets
Me control time
By the way, by the way, by the way, by the way

Once again you see an in
Discolored skin gives you away
So afraid you kindly gurgle out a date
For me

Now the body of one soul I adore
Wants to die
You have always told me you'd
Not live past 25
I say stay long enough to repay
All who caused strife

Once again you see an in
Discolored skin gives you away
So afraid you'd kindly gurgle out a date
For me
